Uncle Ste's ramps have been remade because Uncle Ste himself hasn't been able to get to them. So, because of this, I'd like to introduce you to SEModder4's Reworked Armor Ramps which can be found here As well as some other mods redone by SEModder4 also from Uncle Ste, such as his Blast Doors mod. SEModder4 has also attributed to other amazing mods such as:

And many other mods. I highly suggest you check out his stuff! If not just for some of the reworked Uncle Ste's Mods!

    Thank you,

    Kiranavara.

Been meaning to ask people this for ages (please, take this as genuine interest/curiosity, not picking a fight) but why is anyone still using these? They were absolute genius at the time and undoubtedly one of the most important mods ever made by the community, but now stock parts provide the same functionality with additional benefits such as armour pattern merging, 1x1x1 parts and full bone structure for crumpling etc. Is it the 1:3 parts that really keep people using it? Rather surprised in that case that Keen don't get on the case and get it added in a proper way. Again; just genuine curiosity! :)

Sometimes when you want to cover a large area with a plain, not detailed, 2x1 ARMOUR (not stairs) is pretty annoying to put the two pieces, especially the corners that you have to put four sometimes. So the 2x1 ramps from uncle ste is faster and easier. But of course, as you said, I think ppl still use it mostly for the 3x1.

BTW, I don't know if is only happening to me but the vanilla 2x1 ramp blocks are really glitched. Looks like the LOD stages are completely messed up, so at distance the block morph into a weird prismatic shape.

Aye, that's true; because all the new 2:1 blocks are based on warping the vertexes of a 1:1 block, once the LOD kicks in they drop back to being the 1x1x1, leaving a rather undesirable effect at a distance. Have to admit this is bloody annoying for taking screenshots of large ships!

For me personally, I just generally dislike the warping effect with the armors. Plus, as Gustav said, there are some blocks in the Ste mod which cater more towards people who want that perfect corner/slope with out the immediate drop off in some cases. By that I refer to the round pieces and the morphing of some of the blocks. To me, it's a good addition yes, but I personally rarely use them because in my designs they just don't look right.
