    Summary
    Hello, Engineers! In today's update we are bringing you another bunch of improvements and fixes. We have added input method for Chinese text, fixed gravity HUD and laser antenna issues and more!

    Improvements:
    • added input method for Chinese text
    Fixes:
    • fixed crash caused by steam sending duplicate data
    • fixed ship stuttering while player remained unaffected on DS
    • fixed block preview offset
    • fixed laser antenna not disconnecting properly
    • fixed issue with middle part not being attached to the rest of the laser antenna
    • fixed artificial gravity indicator not taking into account natural gravity
    • fixed gravity HUD displaying according to camera not astronaut
    • removed safety lock from G screen action bar
    • fixed rainbow boots thumbnail being incorrect
    • fixed racing stripe gloves at value -100 being always red
    • fixed emissivity for mag boots on different skins not working properly
    Hotfixes 1.185.301:
    • fixed crash with merge blocks
    • fixed Windows error sound when pressing ESC or Tab in game

    Yay. I'm insanely eager for the next major update, but I expect these minor fixit updates to continue for a while. The slowly falling echo from the last major update...

    Thanks for the laser antenna fix, though! Keep up the good work!

    @northypark : I'm waiting on the survival update too, but don't despair! I've been biding my time by designing projectable blueprints for my next big survival run, including a warhead-based underground silo!

    i have made a entire fleet of ships and vehicles and i really want to play survival again, but the one we have no is getting very boring sadly.

    Can we get a fix that makes it possible to properly program various blocks - more slide bars and yes/no options.
    Such as X-Y-Z limitations to turrets. THAT could be awesome!

    It is not a game but a design program. Building is fun, but not playing. i would like more game relevant updates please

    This is most certainly not true to me. It is a game - but it relies heavily on designer abilities. The Simplification of the interface/physics thus far is honestly disheartening - if you only play on Creative I can see why you might think that it's only a design program - but trust me - in survival it is so much more than a simple designer. Also - I think the biggest thing they could do to increase me and my friends enjoyment of the game would be to fix the issue with large ships lagging DS at random. This is something that /might/ require more than a simple fix but it would definitely pay off in the long run - as it stands flying a large ship in survival creates the occasional huge lag spike which can directly cause a crash if your not expecting it.

    That is intentional. Casting shadows from a light eats some performance. Therefore Interior Lights are performance-friendly, while Spotlights (they do cast shadows) are perfomance-unfriendly.

    I take it were no longer allowed to manually toggle safety locks on and off?

    I'm at work, so I can't check, but as of yesterday, the G screen action bar had both "Safety Lock" and "Rotor Lock" options. I'm guessing they removed the defunct Safety one and left the Rotor Lock alone (since it was recently added due to player outcry).

    Since this update, Windows now dings while in-game, every time I hit enter, Ctrl + A, Escape, Tab. etc. Really annoying!

    EDIT: Small workaround until it gets fixed: Mute system sounds via the volume mixer.

    Just want to see new weapons and enemies, maybe a objective or a Currency system would be nice to see in the future, It wouldn't take much time to make a money system that could be traded in for resources and would make cargo ships have a higher value and make MotherShips more powerful as they would have a city inside able to grow just from trading and what not.

    But thats in the far future after all the bug fixes and survival updates...

    Fix turrets shooting dead bodies,
    Fix turrets being able to aim inside themselves,
    Fix turret reticle still being visible when using Spectator mode ( F8 ),
    Fix turrets hitting blocks on the same grid ( friendly fire work around is not a fix ),

    FIX TURRETS.
