Not so noice.... couldn't you just have disabled it by default and added a tool tip that said something like "Warning, not compatible with certain sound cards" ??

Oddly these aren't the bugs plaguing my server. Things like players not being able to weld or grind blocks, whole grids disappearing in front of a player until they log off and the back on. Server sim speed takes a huge hit with a partially destroyed ship grid like a respawn ship glitching out until its deleted. Entering a planet's atmosphere descending to a certain altitude cause the server sim speed to drop to as low as .07 for everyone while it loads terrain... ah well, another week of baby sitting the server and complaining players 8`0.

Is the welder been fixed? Not only the effect but the actual alignment with the block and be able to weld it?

Was hoping the other auto-pilot issue would have been fixed as well this week (speed in gravity still only 15% of slider as of todays patch).

    Awesome, thank you very much.

Now how about fixing the issue with corner blocks not being airtight in certain configurations, please?

SIM speed guys. We do not want it to be upgraded by 500% at once next year. Small increases over time would do...

EDIT: Of course, thanks for the bugfixes.

    Thanks again for the update.
And it's a very nice touch to report along the fixes which ones of those were based on player reports :tu:

    Thanks for the continuous work.
Please do check that "autopilot in planet gravity/atmosphere" speed bug tough.

Also, improvement in communication with the community would be welcome, such as providing a roadmap so we know what not to expect anytime soon, and get a better idea of what you want to do with the game, even if everything isnt actually done in the end. Hearing actual feedback on the players concerns, suggestions & requested features would really make a difference too.

There is a knwon problem with the autopilot not getting over 15 m/s in gravity. So why you don't fix that by the time you fix the waypoint problem...

That's because the "new" voxel terrain created each time someone drills. Server I play on disabled voxel destruction. We use mods for alternate resource gathering. Server never drops below 0.9. usually a solid 1.0, with many people on.

Did you change something in thruster override logic? In all my saves PB-cotrolled drones refuse to fly today, all overrided thrusters work like 0.1% from maximum now.

The effect has been fixed, the alignment is still off. The welder does point to the center if you're looking down, so I guess someone tested this by welding a floor.

KSH, why do you hate us scripters so much? I planned to do lots of work with my drones at this weekend. Can you please not update the game at friday evenings? Do it on Mondays

After 3 years plus it's painfully obvious to me that patches are not tested before release how bout you test it for a week before putting it out and ruining hundreds of people's Weekends!! I came back only to be disappointing again. C-ya an another year.

ok bye....also no need to post here if your just gonna say that...it dosent speed anything up also SE is a very complex game there basically is no other game like it. I mean there dual but dual do sent have ship to voxel deformation and a lot more.
    --- Automerge ---
and if everyone didn't know its not gonna take 1 week to fix a difficult bug, its gonna take a while and they are working on the bugs too even if it dosent seem like it

What does it say? "STOP DOING THAT!"
Does this mean auto pilot actually shuts down and returns control to player after last waypoint? Because sometimes I found I couldn't manually control ships formerly under autopilot control until I took control of the RC block then exited back. (I used "control" three times in the same sentence. Does that make me a control freak?)

This might account for a mysterious drop in sim speed when I haven't actually added new grids:eek:

No. These are the bugs that have been plaguing other servers. You will find that not every bug effects every machine. Therefore, fixing bugs that annoy other players may result in new bugs just for you. No two PCs are alike and real servers with Xeon-type processors are different from your PC. Problems can arise because of the brand of RAM or video card you might be using.

As always, you shouldn't expect perfect performance from a game still under production and far from finished. In fact, you shouldn't even expect acceptable performance.

This has been an issue since oxygen became a thing back in late 2014. Before then blocks did not have to be airtight. Ships had no doors, just an opening to get in and out. When they worked their magic to make blocks airtight, the corner block never cooperated. Still won't.

One school of thought would be, "it's simple. Fix it later." Another school of thought would be, "It's simple, fix it now." The third school of thought is, "Nothing is as simple as it seems." This might be one of those things that, when fixed, breaks everything else in the game because it's so fundamental.

    You're new here, aren't you?

Seems like my GPU has gotten a bit more stable in its usage since the last patch and this one. Since the planetary memory leak was fixed it's not handed my rig its butt nearly as bad and overall stability seems a bit better. For some of my larger ships such as one of my carrier dreads its still handing my rig its butt planet side but it's doing better than it was before. I'm assuming that these issues will get better with more optimizations and such but still a drag with some of the larger ships and stations at the moment. Otherwise whatever you guys have been doing has been working, at least from what I can tell.

Personally I would've preferred the welder effect continuing after the block is fixed to be a cosmetic effect that could be turned on or off just for the realism/rp factor. Perhaps a special welder skin/welder type could be introduced that still allowed this. Relatively minor nitpick on my part but just something fun for my personal tastes.

Also noticing a really weird issue where in some cases I'm noticing the decompression animation when certain blocks get removed or I close certain doors, even though no holes are present. No actual decompression is taking place but the animation makes it appear as such. if I can ever reproduce it consistently enough I'll grab a video clip for you guys. Anyone else noticing this more as of late or is it just me?

Overall no complaints about bug fixes and such. Look forward to the next major updates and fixes. Also still really enjoying being able to drive my wheeled vehicles without issues again
