[UPDATED] Space Engineers crashes on game launch. Could NET Framework 4.7.2 be causing this?

    I just tried to launch Space Engineers for the first time in several months and immediately the game crashed. The log reads as follows:

    (I edited the log to remove my real name from the log. For the purposes of this discussion, my username on Windows is "First Middle Last". The real username does have two spaces in it, in case that's relevant and it's breaking a path search.)

    I notice that the folder 'C:\Users\First Middle Last\AppData\Local\Temp' does not exist, which is why Space Engineers can't find a file there. I don't know why it's looking or a file in a folder that doesn't exist.

    I then attempted to follow the instructions at https://www.spaceengineersgame.com/game-wont-start-issues.html , but none of them seemed to address my issue until I came to the part about the .NET Framework. I followed the instructions at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/do...-determine-which-versions-are-installed#net_b , found that the "Release" DWORD had a value of 461808, meaning that I had .NET Framework version 4.7.2.

    I have NOT yet attempted to install the 4.6.1 version of the Framework because I don't know what other games or software on my computer that might break. So, I want to ask, would this be the cause of Space Engineers crashing? If so, is it possible to have two versions of the .net Framework on my machine at once?

    As of today's update, the game no longer crashes on launch, and I can start a new savegame. However, all of my old savegames aren't visible in-game, anymore. I'm going to go check if the save files are still somewhere on my hard drive.

    [edit 10 minutes later] Nevermind, I'm forgetful. I renamed the Saves folder to make it a backup folder. That's why the game couldn't find them.
