Why are we missing basic items such as?

With all the deserts within the world I was wondering why there is no Sandstone walls and such like we have for stone other than what you can get from Mods? You would figure it would be a normal part of the game. Whatever is in stone, should also be in Sandstone. Or am I missing something here?

I think, there should be 3 stone textures; player builds a stone building as usual, if it is in desert region, its texture looks like sandstone. If it is in snowy region, its texture looks like stone with some snow on it. And, other regions have normal stone texture.
