windows 10 pc crash fix instructions

as the title say i have found a fix that works for me atleast to stop my computer from crashing everytime i start up space engineers. how to fix this problem you will need to follow the steps i am about to put down on here and sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I figured since this is a bug and I found a way to fix it for the time being I figured I might as well place it here.

1. go to the games library

2. right-click on space engineers and press properties

3. click on the local files tab then click on browse local files

4. if you are using a 32bit system just go into the bin file. if you are like me and using a 64bit system go into the bin64 file

5. once in the needed bin/bin64 folder right-click onto the SpaceEngineers applecation file it should be only 56kb for the 64bit version for the 32bit version its 57kb

6. now once right-clicked press properties then go to the compatibility tab

7. now click on the small box below the words compatibility mode it should automaticly be at windows 8

if this works for you it should stop the complete crashing of your computer

lol this is not a fix.This is a part of the main instructions when u instaling any game.Also u tick the box run as admin as well naturally...

 

your welcome phand and Lt. yankee this was only done to help those that it may help with. this wont work for everyone but its still worth while to try and yes this can apply to most games that can't run straight out with windows 10 and older systems

 

That solution works, atleast for starting the game, but after leaving a dedicated server its a screenfreeze. And the game lags every 2 sec whit a huge framedrop. Thats just on a dedicated server whit 3 small ships and a plattform. I think making the game support Windows 10 a high prio since its a free update for legit licensed user and more people might upgrade soon that plays space.

Edit: The game still dosnt exit and i dont have permission to kill the running process whit the "fix" applied.

agreed sigis the game needs a patch badly for win 10 users

 

I had done that already but still crashes on loading (I tried Windows 8 and Windows 7 compatibility mode), I just have a blue screen with no main menu options or anything else. When I hover over where the buttons should be, I can hear the sound and I can click on the Quit button and then I can tell it opens up the quit window because I can hover over the two options that should appear and hear the sound. but when I click on where I think the button should be Ok or whatever it says, it just stays there and I have to force it to quit with the Task manager. Then I can't start the game again unless I restart my computer because steam says the app is already running.

 

I'm having the same issue as Psycho Bear. It is really iriitating and the game desperately needs an update as soon as possible. I've checked drivers, tried compatibility mode, uninstalled steam and SE and the reinstalled, Reinstalled Windows even. It has been a huge pain considering ive logged over 300 hours on this game alone in the past few months

 

1. Make sure that your System has Latest Drivers
2. Install Proper Supported Software
3. Make sure that Hardware of your system is ok

All the above given tricks will help you to fix this issue,,
