[WIP] Modular Missiles

    I've been working on Modular Missiles for a couple of days now and have reached a stage where I feel it is time to turn to the community for feedback and suggestions. Please tell me what you think and if you are interested.

    This mod is now available in the workshop!

    This mod is DX11 only with PBR HD textures.

    This mod will be available for both small and large block.
    Features:

      • Hub (for modules)

    In the past working with the torpedo mod. I would highly recommend different types of connections.

    • Custom Merge block
    • Mag locks/ or "landing gear" (that work both ways, from main grid connecting to the missile, or from the missile connecting to the main grid)
    • connectors
    • I wouldn't throw out explosive bolt ideas.
    Need a timer block also :)

    Also, you are going to need atmo thrusters or just eliminate everything except hydrogen thrust.
    sensors also...

    Something that I always wanted on missiles was the ability to "get close enough" and still do considerable damage.
    The way modern missiles work, they do not have to nor do they really ever actually impact the target. They detonate several yards before coming into contact, oriented to the targets trajectory where a cone of either flechettes or just shrapnel will envelop the target. disabling it.
    In SE terms it would be cool if you could make a warhead that would act in the same way: when you fire a missile , a sensor would tell the warhead it's in range and to detonate. But instead of using the game mechanic for missiles, use something like some of the "shotgun" weapon mods use to cause the damage. Just make it OP compared to the original mods and only usable once per missile. :)

    Oh, atmos are already planned, just forgot to add it, thanks for pointing it out tho :)

    Interesting idea with the shotgun! Will see what I can do. I think i'll have to speak to the mod author of the shotgun mod. Then I might also be able to add some kind of pre penetrator that fire a round from the cone before impact. That would also be a single shot.

    i have a question, i have recently started using this mod and first of all let me just say it's pretty cool so far. i have built a missile, merged it to a pylon and it is ready to fire. but my question is, how do i fire? :p
